the numbers are different metrics so if we actually go by properly scaled numbers, v1 would win. lore wise, maybe, but the game betrays its own lore to allow doomguy to die, so thats bunk too, unless you consider saving and loading part of the lore lol. in which theyre both invincible then
considering theyre both based on quake live's railgun and act the same way, i think it'd be fair to consider the fight like instagib, 1 hit 1 kill
he do be beatin his ass though. hell was too easy for v1 that angels had to step in like wtf man
yah thats offset by his ability to heal immediately. i still think logistically the fight would be over in 2 seconds for whoever lands a rail/guass shot first, and considering v1's movement tech doomguy wouldnt even have a chance to look up before he eats a shot
doomguy is also in quake champions and gets owned by a rail shot just as much, so instagib seems like an apt comparison
you too
by lore i think that doomslayer would absolutely stomp v1, a million times over. doomslayer is beyond a god. it's literally impossible to harm him in any way, and he's killed far greater than someone like sisyphus, which is the dark lord. by gameplay of course this is obviously not really fair, but we're talking about lore. for the dark lord, creating a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ multiverse is the same as breathing to him. that alone should show his extreme power and ability. sisyphus and minos were able to be locked up and gabriel is easily beaten by v1.
i think doomguy though would probably lose to v1 not gonna lie
but if we measure by gameplay:
doomslayer is nerfed into the ground in 2016 and eternal. it turns out that playing faster than light isn't exactly humanly possible in gameplay. so of course everything is balanced out. v1 wins easily.
and doomguy is also easily stomped by v1. i mean it's pretty obvious why.
they're honestly kinda evened out this way. v1 wins in gameplay, doomslayer wins in lore. therefore i don't see it wrong to call it a draw. despite this though, nobody will truly agree with anyone and there will be no end to this discussion.
