why is modding gone and will it ever come back?

I was around on day one of the newest Ultrakill updates and when It updated the game cut all mod support. I was hoping that by sending this out here I could get help on the current problem. so will modding come back anytime soon or is my stuff just not working and everything is fine.

It's a problem on the mods end, they're not updated to the latest version yet.

Game devs are typically not too concerned with mod compatibility, especially when pushing major content updates. Just wait for people to update their mods or find a way to downgrade your game.

It's not the game dev's job to make sure each update is as friendly to mods as possible, especially when a game is in active development, like early access. The same ♥♥♥♥ went on with GTFO a few years back when it was still in early access and people got butthurt over their mods breaking with an update in a game being actively developed without official mod support. Give it time and let the modders update their stuff. Simple as that

this is a problem even with games whose devs openly acknowledge and support third-party mods, like minecraft - you wouldn't expect a 1.12 mod to work for 1.18, and the same logic applies here. stuff changes under the hood, and sometimes those changes break some mods.

Kinda sucks but completely understandable. I just kinda missed fight Biden and Trump Prime.
