Can't get S rank on Kills? 1-3 Halls of sacred remains

I'm trying to get P rank on every level so i can fight minos, but no matter how many times i've tried, i can't get S rank on kills in 1-3. I get S ranks on both time and style but there's only so many enemies i can kill. are there more enemies in a secret room or something?

For this level, you have to complete both skull rooms. So either go blue or red first, return the skull, then take the entire other route. The trick to P-ranking it is to take it slow, the timer's 10 minutes iirc for a P-rank, so you can just walk through the level and still be good on time. There are a lot of enemies that only spawn when you get near where they spawn, so try to avoid too many crazy movement techs that miss out chunks of floorspace, since you can also jump over some spawn triggers. A couple points people often miss are the enemies that spawn on the staircase near the blue skull, and the malicious face that spawns in the small square room also on the way to the blue skull. Also, some rooms can be exited without killing all the enemies, so make sure everyone is dead before moving on (especially in the red skull room)

The requirement is 125, so if you get to the end and are missing 1 or 2 enemies (122 minimum) you can go and do the secret swordsmachine fight to meet the S rank requirement anyway

Listen to the music. In ultrakill, the music is dynamic and is more aggressive if an enemy is alive (especially helpful on 2-1) but is quieter when there's no enemies.

You probably missed the same rooms as me. I recommend you go to through the blue door and then take the door on the right. You can check how many kills you currently have by holding tab

Just watch a damn P-Rank speedrun of the level. It’s faster than waiting for responses on a forum.

REMEMBER that the secret encounter never counts in p-ranks. I made that mistake once.
