ULTRAKILL

How hard is this game.
I've never really played FPS games and I have no idea if I can even finish this game...

You can, you will eventually adjust to every single weapon and mechanic in a way that no enemy stands a chance(i havent got there yet but i have seen many people have), also hardness in this game is super fun. You can do it even if you havent played in a lot of time or you are bad at aiming.

Ultrakill is on the challenging side of things (not helped by the game's "normal" difficulty being the second most-difficult at the moment), most definitely, but 1) a lot of the challenge comes from its movement systems emphasizing speed and parkour intertwined into the action, and 2) the game features a robust assist feature allowing you to reduce things like game speed or enemy damage if needed. With some practice, you can get very comfortable with the game's arenas and pacing.

By default, for a new fps player it is very challenging. However, there is a multitude of settings in the game that allow you to make it very accissible

I don't think this would be a good fps game to cut your teeth on, but the best way to get into a new genre is to find something you really want to play and dive in and just do it. If this game was just about aiming and dodging then that would be one thing but jumping also plays a big role and that can be hard for a lot of people to come to grips with in first person. If you really want to give it a shot, there is a 2 hour return deadline so you can try it out, but personally, I don't think this is the best fps game to start with, its an amazing fps game but to me, it feels like its intended for those with some experience who have movement and aiming down pretty well.

Thank you guys, I've bought it and I'll give it a try. The game is praised by many people so It can't be bad and I'll have to play games to better my aim anyways.

I kinda wanted to play this one but because I was a bit hesitant since I don't really play FPS games and I don't have much money to try new things. I've bought it now and I think I can have a great time with this one with maybe a little too rough start :d

Cool, best of luck to you. There is a sale on classic fps games going on right now too, with doom, quake etc, so if you want some other great ones to try out those are cheap at the moment also.

This game is very similar to dark souls. Everyone describes it as incredibly difficult, when in actuality, it is incredibly easy, but just incredibly punishing. You're punished hard for playing poorly, making bad choices, not using your arsenal, and not respecting your enemies. But between difficulty and accessibility options, the game requires very little mechanical skill or expertise to finish, generally giving everyone a fair but challenging time, designed to be able to be completed by almost everyone with some effort
Defective Soul Aug 19, 2022 @ 1:22pm
in worst case there is easy mode + assistance options wich turn game into 90-s shooter-termina

Probably the hardest FPS game out there if you play on high difficulty. DOOM Eternal o NIGHTMARE is a joke compared to UK but both games are 10/10
