My dash is on E, my whiplash on R and my weapon keys on 1-4. Shift is used for sliding and Q was used to switch weapon variations.
edit: forgot the punch. it's on F.
Switching arms is on G, as it is default... I think...
WASD = Movement
Space = jump
LShift = Dash
LControl = Slide
Q = Last used weapon
E = Grappling hook
F = Punch
Mouse 1 = Fire
Mouse 2 = Alt fire
Mouse 5 = Variation change
Mouse 4 = Arm change
Mousewheel = Weapon selection (scrolling through weapons)
Number keys 1-4 = Weapon selection (Pistol / Alternate pistol, Shotgun, Nailgun, Railgun)
This taught me to bind primary weapons to keys that are easily accessible without having to move your hand to reach (this works still, but it becomes extremely cramp inducing in games of this nature). You want to be able to swap to the weapon most appropriate to the situation within a fraction of a second, and you will want to do so often.
My configuration is as follows:
Q -> Alternate revolver, with doubletap cycling to the revolver with coinshot
W,A,S,D -> Movement
E -> Shotgun, no double tap, I only use the green one as it seems to be able to do everything the other variation does but faster (when punching your own pellets that is)
R -> Railgun
F -> Punch
Shift -> Dash
LtControl -> Slide, but I expect I might move this at some point as I don't use slide at all currently
Middle mouse -> Grappling hook (rarely use this one too)
4 -> Nailgun
The only variation I swap between is the coinshot revolver to ricochet the railgun shots (usually when the opponent is at some awkward angle, or just during boss fights of course). I've not found much use for any of the other variations, and to be honest I'm thankful for that as the game would've become a lot more complicated if I had the desire to add them.
i switched the weapons around 2=railgun, 3=shotgun 4=nailgun.
Q=switch arms
E=switch weapon variation
R=graply hook.
F is punch, and default slide and dash in Crtl and Shift.
all depends on the person
R for the whiplash and G to stand between arms
F to parry
1-4 for weapons
Shift for dashing
Mouse thumb buttons for swapping between weapon variations and slide
