Is violent a hard or normal difficulty?

This has always puzzled me because violent sounds like a name for a hard difficulty but it's in the normal category.

Devs say Violent is intented for players familiar with the game mechanics but imo the game is much more fun if you go straight to Violent

Hard and lower basically make you steamroll the game if you have ever touched a FPS before

I'd say go through Prelude on Violent to test the waters and then decide if you want to bump it. I played the prelude on violent and decided to bump it down to Standard after the boss, but re-played through the whole game on Violent when I decided to go for P-Ranks on everything.

Violent is sort of a "normal+" difficulty. Same damage as on Standard, but enemies become faster, and some bosses get extra attacks.

its normal but more harder because when you see standard and violent on top there's tiny text says normal
