campaign in total has around 40 mins if you just run through, and don't P-Rank and as such, don't play the secret levels (and get the secret weapon)
theres also the cybergrind, which is an infinite wave arena mode, and if you wanted to ""finish"" it (get to wave 50) it'd probably take more than 70 hours (since i have 70 hours in and havent got it yet)

You'd have to already be very good at the game to get through in 40 minutes, for most people the first playthrough can vary a lot in length but from what I've seen the average is between 1h30min and 5 hours. Some people take longer some people get through it faster, it depends on which difficulty you select and how good you are at this kind of game.

The game's built around replayability though, so if you go look at the reviews on the steam page you can notice some people with over 500 hours in the game, and there's things like secrets, secret levels and rankings that will give you reason to go back, especially since getting Perfect ranks on every level unlocks a new secret mission.

It depends on how good you are at the game. This was one of the first shooters I played and one of the first pc games I played on a keyboard so it took me extra long. I've got a solid 70 to 80 hours in already. Probs a 100 hours if you count the demo.
