You can keep him in air forever if you combo with your pistol power shoot and the exploding gun. Extra dmg is posible with some quick basic pistol shoots. note, you need to headshot all of it and its difficult.

This
Sword, Sword, throw. Parry this if you're feeling ballsy, but otherwise dodge it.
When he makes a spear, he goes above you. Dash out of the way, dash jump is good. Next he will throw it. Dash jump is great to avoid this too.
In his second phase he goes faster and attacks more often and teleports more often.
for example, sword sword teleport throw, or spear spear teleport throw.

Observe his patterns, dodge his attacks, blast his face whenever he taunts. Drill and Pump Charge are amazing weapons for him. Some swear by the nailgun but the moment I dropped it I got P rank on *violent* Gabriel.
The best way to do massive amounts of damage easily is to parry his sword throw. I was able to do it fairly consistently in the first phase, not so much in the second since it's more hectic.
I'm pretty sure you can parry his melee attacks too but I was never able to do it. Parrying swordsmachine's melee is hard enough.
I ended up making the fight a lot harder for myself because I always kept forgetting to use the railcannon.
Screwdriver might work for consistent DPS and heals, but it might be better to just shotgun him when he taunts and use either the electric or malicious railcannon instead.
Just to cheer people up, the first time I fought Gabriel, it took me over 50 tries to kill him. After working on getting P ranks, I maxed him out on my third try easily, and it took me a few tries only because I couldn't believe I was running circles around him now.

It's a testament to how the game encourages you to get better at it.

Nailgun is your best source of consistent damage in this fight, with railcannon shots and coin ricochets being good for short bursts of high damage. His ranged attacks can be parried, though the timing is rather strict. Sliding is generally better than dashing for avoiding certain attacks, particularly his downwards spear thrust that happens when he teleports above you.
nail gun will be your WORSE WEAPON to do damage to gabe
gabe "s attack are mostly either malee or projectile that can be dodged at range so getting close means taking alot of damage
nail gun has terrible heal rate and if you are shoving it at his face you will soon find out that he is depleting your max hp more and more
so in short it not worth it

Similar feels fighting V2 again. I died somewhere around 30 times before finally killing him. Then after playing through the rest of the game and putting some hours into Cyber Grind, I started playing again on Violent difficulty and I beat him on my second try, it was kind of ridiculous how easy it was.
I also smoked the other mini-boss tier enemies like Swordsmachine (Agony and Tundra too) and Hideous Mass with very little effort. Enemy encounters that gave me trouble in my first play-through are a breeze now.
I haven't gotten back to Gabe yet but I feel confident that I'm going to beat him much easier than my first go-around. It really is amazing how well this game, particularly the nonstop balls-to-the-wall action of Cyber Grind, teaches you to get better at it.

Have I mentioned that I really like playing the Cyber Grind? Seriously, I love that game mode. It's worth the price of admission alone.

The pump with 2 charge or the railgun drill are great for healing, the shotgun is good for shredding and healing
I died a lot to this guy, but he is fun. There is a lot of skill needed to beat it easily, not that there is anything wrong with being unskilled. Here is what I got, simplified.
V2: ricoshot for a guarenteed hit. Screwdriver for massive damage, but malicous is more reliable for hits.
King Minos: shoot it until it dies. JK parry the punches and shoot the hands for blood.
Gabe: use ricoshot and shoot him with the screwdriver when he taunts.
just kill him lol

You can also flip a coin with the marksman, then charge up a triple piercer shot and hit the coin and pray you get a headshot combo. Also I've found the sawed on works really well to heal.
