How hard is this game?
I usually don't play FPS, but this one grabbed my attention. It does look quite tough and skill based though. How would you rate the difficulty compared to other games of the same genre (like Doom, Quake or even Dusk)?

Also, how does the controller hold up? This seems like a keyboard and mouse type of game, but I'd still like to know if there is a big difference when playing with a controller.

It might take few tries for you to beat certain stages but game isn't that hard. I personally would recommand keyboard and mouse because you need fast reaction time.

There are planned easier difficulty levels later on, and the game currently has an assist mode if you're struggling. Controller support is... passable, it has a togglable aim assist for controller use as well, but keyboard and mouse is preferable.

It’s a trash game, the first 3 levels you can fall to your death so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ easily in a game where they want to move as fast as possible. They aren’t gonna update this game. They just pushed it out the door in early access so they can make a quick buck off of people. I had a complaint about the game and they deleted my post. They only want good feedback but if anyone says anything negative, they delete it immediately

Bait;
don't listen to anything this idiot says.

Get the game and support the dev. They seriously did a great job with this game and im excited to see the chapters come in like they did on DUSK.

the game requires precise aim and flicks, constant movement and awareness of your surroundings, it may be a little rough for a non-FPS player but you could give it a try. you can play it for 2 hours before refunding (sometimes even a little bit more)

Movement and precise aim is key. The game is very fun however. It does require some effort to complete, the V2 boss and especially the last one.

ive been keeping my eyes on this since its been in demo, its got some challenge to it, but nothing too bad on the normal difficulty. tons of fun. im not even really great at fps and i can do it all. the dude a few posts back talking about falling to his death has to be the worst troll ever or absolutely brain-dead. its possible to fall, sure. but you also have like 3+ dashes, and walljumps so if you're remotely competent at moving a mouse and hitting shift and space, you'll be fine. I had no second thoughts about buying this. New Blood consistently put out great stuff.

The game only really gets hard on certain stages and against certain bosses.I'm playing on Violent difficulty btw.

Edit:As long as you "abuse" the healing system,it shouldn't be too bad for a newcomer.Only other thing that could kill you is just bad play or terrain(instant death pits/traps)

Unless the dev's trolling with faded difficulties, they should be adding an 'easy mode' sooner or later. That'll solve the difficulty 'crisis' to wit without any issues further. Though, default difficulty is fine so far...
