Future Sev Steel Content!
Hi all,

Thanks a ton for hanging out here and special thanks to everyone who helped Sev Steel hit 93% positive reviews! This is my first game so it really is a dream come true.

I'm starting to make plans for some free Sev Steel content drops by end of year. What kind of stuff do people want to see?

Here are some rough ideas in my head now: I'm thinking about buffing the campaign a bit, remixing and extending the shorter levels and adding in an extra level or two per chapter.

I'd also like a method to use firefight unlocks in campaign mode, and maybe include some unlockable cannon modes in firefight.

Finally, I'd like to get the editor out of beta and make is super easy to use, I'm not sure how possible this is but it would be cool if people could rate/review levels in the victory screen.

I'm honestly pretty satisfied with the content so far but here's a few things I think would be cool.

-The more mutators, the merrier XD

-Katana (though I know balancing a melee weapon would probably be a bit tricky)

-The ability to recolor props in the editor such as explosive computers, doors, chairs, benches, etc...

My most requested one would definitely be seeing Mutators being available in the Story mode too.

Also I wouldn't mind having a few more bosses in it. My ideas for a final boss fight would be:

A) fighting the CEO's personal bodyguard (who is the person responsible for losing your arm) in his special powerful combat armor
B) fighting that other woman from the cutscenes at the end who tricked you into killing everyone else so she can become the new boss (she kinda looks creepy and evil in that cutscene after you defeat Tor)
C) fighting a clone that was supposed to replace Steel as the new and better version


A bit more detail to the cutscenes e.g. showing more detailed what happens to Tor after you deafeat him or explaining why that other woman is helping usso we understand more what's going on. Maybe even having a new/longer intro cutscene showing how we lost the arm and ended in the waste disposal to give the whole revenge thing more depth.

More achievements for doing special things like beating a level without dying or executing a chain of special movement techs in a row would also be nice.

It would be cool to see an endless mode at somepoint if that’s possible as well as more weapons, achievements and/or enemies. Those are just some suggestions. I love the game and can’t wait to see what will be added next.

Adding to the 'endless' train of thought idea, a 'marathon' setting for firefight mode would be fun. You hit the marathon button (similar to the random mission button) and then have to play the entirety of the firefight missions in random order, with your chosen modifiers/starting weapon. And if you die at any point, you start over from zero.

Thank you for this absolute blast of a hidden gem, too! It's a strong contender for best FPS I've played since Time Splitters 2, looking forward to more content and the finished level editor.

Honestly I think being able to dive straight into a wall run, or dropkick directly from a dive should be the default, not a modifier. Many times I've noticed that diving kind of stops the flow of the gameplay if you hit a wall. That's my only complaint with the campaign right now. I literally won't play firefight without the "Like Water" modifier turned on lol.

Thanks for the suggestions so far everyone! I started looking into mutators in campaign and that feature might be coming sooner than you think!
This game is great music lineup. But almost stages is finish within around one minutes in firefight. So one music can't listening all before stage cleared.
My suggestion is choice the some favorite stages and keep playing those stages without music cut out.

you start with 1 gun enemy only drop ammo,
and you can reload your weapon ( higher ammo pool )

first off i want to say that your game is goty for me !!!
i basically loved every level in the game but level transitions kind of pulled me out of zen
so i had the idea of an random endless mode
starting a level in an random position on the map with randomised enemy placement
after completion you instantly move to the next map with little time in between engagements

maybe being able to create a playlist with a choosen set of levels you can play in said mode

Hey thanks! Yeah the playlist idea is being brought up a lot, so I will probably do it! You mean for firefight mode right?

Do you picture like the score report in between maps? maybe it shows score while next level loads, music keeps playing to keep the feeling of flow.

I'm not sure how hard it would be to code, but I would 100% love to see randomized enemy placements within the campaign and firefight mode.

After dying a couple times you get to know all the spawn locations of enemies and it becomes more a Speedrun than adapting and having an actual threat. Especially in Molten Steel.

I also like the endless idea. Starting with random weapons would also be cool along with a couple more new guns.

Just some ideas.

Oh, about the new stages to be added, it would be neat to have some stages with multiple exits, leading to different stages like a branched path... I guess this might be tricky to implement and I definitely don't mean to fill the game with gimmicky level unlock mechanics, but one or two secret rooms/stages/levels would be interesting.
