Where do I find the graphic files if I want to mod them ?
I'm not sure that I even know how to mod this kind of graphic files, but I'd like to get a sense of whether it can be done.

There are probably too many flags on display in the game, and I'd like to look into getting rid of some of them, or at least making them more historically appropriate.

I realize that this is a sensitive issue for a German company, even though I thought the laws had changed a few years ago. But in any large company, conservative legal opinions tend to govern, so I don't blame Daedalic for using the textures that they did.

I just want to know if I can modify or get rid of them (I hate looking at ahistorical textures and get annoyed when games use the modern 50-star American flag in WW I,WW II, and the Korean War instead of the correct 48-star flag which looked very different).

I think the game uses Unreal Engine. I don't know how we mod those games, but I'm also interested if you find something. Also, if you manage to do something I hope you will share your work. It's always nice to have more historical accurate textures in this kind of games.

If you find a way, please bump this. I held off buying this when I saw the silly flag designs. We all get it, the Nazis were evil, but this trend of censoring actual reality is barmy. Could at least make a toggle option to appease the wilting woke-folk who seem to pass out at even the slightest hint of reality on show. Dont they realise in games like this we are killing the Nazi's ?

Daedalic is a German company subject to German law. Legislation about using Nazi symbols used to be quite strict. If their legal department chooses not to run any risks, that's their right. Comments about imagined wokeness do nothing but reveal the poster's parochial ignorance.

German laws have changed some years ago (since 2008 if I'm correct). Video game industry is considered like art, and like the movies, axis symbols are allowed if they don't glorify these ideologies. Products where we fight against them are perfectly allowed now. I think there is another reason if some german companies still censor their WW2 games. It's a mystery to me, and I think they lose many sells by doing that (maybe it's better for them to stop publishing WW2 games if they are not comfortable treating the dark sides of their history ?).
