The game is playable with the community patch, except there is an annoying mouse acceleration issue that cannot be modded out.
I hear you. The game feels great when I cap it around 158fps (165hz monitor) and seems to make the mouse feel better, but you sometimes slide across the ground
Yeah the sliding across the ground is an FPS issue, the 60fps cap fixes that. I'd rather have it much higher too but I'm enjoying it at 60fps and 125hz.
The mouse issue with 1000hz is a similar problem to some Q1 source ports (like Dark Places in Quake 1.5 mod) and even older CoD games using id tech. So I always try that fix now, handy to know for playing older games.
I believe that, ever ever so slightly, the game pulls you towards X,0, Y,0, Z,0. As in the origin of the map. So I'm assuming at higher frames it's amplified and does something to moving along the ground?
