As for that swamp area, there may be some parts of it that can only be reached by freezing water to make a bridge. I can’t quite recall though. Maybe try the Scholar’s Frost spell to help make bridges.
Thank you so much for your help. The monster den was way further North than I thought it would be, but I was able to finally clear that quest.
Also, thank you for the idea of freezing the water. I tried growing out the plant rot branches to make a path, but it would only grow once. So, I'll level someone with the freezing ability and try again. Cheers!
Jump 1 suffices, and all Sailors have it.
You may need to retrain your eye to "see" distance-1 jumps.
Sometimes a 5-pixel half-gap is not jumpable, while a 30-pixel full-square gap is.
So you walk in little cloverleafs to align yourself properly.
Remember that a jump must have 1 full-square take-off + 1 full-square landing.
Don't bother trying to jump corners that lack one or the other.
Since you beat the Angelfly Bogcraw and his minions, you can win the 2nd fight, too.
It's worth a few more Iron Chunks, meh but better than zero.
