How do you put socket items in weapons and armor?

I've tried dragging and clicking, nothing seems to work. I haven't found any gameplay videos showing how it's done.

Never mind, I figured it out. Not sure how I missed it, but if you put the weapon on an anvil you then click the weapon and a box comes up.
