It said I could play this for up to 10 hours with EA Play so I subscribed but now I cannot find any option to download it. I just have the option to buy it for the EA Play 10% off discount.
Why can't I take advantage of the trial 10 hours?

I have the same problem. I signed up for EA Play today just to test Fifa 21 and I can't.

The EA Play Early Game Trials are only available for a short time before games release.

If I play an EA Play early game trial will my progress carry over?

EA Play members can download and try select upcoming EA games before they’re released for a limited time. Yep – that’s right, you’ll be the first to play some of EA’s latest and greatest with an EA Play membership. And because you’re trying the real game, not a demo, your progress will carry over, so you can pick up where you left off if you decide to purchase the game.

It's basically a 10 hour beta access available for a limited time before release.

Once the game releases, the trial is no longer available and the game gets moved into the EA Play Pro games list. So you either need to upgrade to Pro or to buy the game to play it.

There are apparently two different 10 hour trials. I have EA Play, and the Squadrons trial definitely was not available to play before launch. And Origin still shows I have 9 hours left of my NFS: Heat trial that i started last December.

I took advantage of the EA Play (called EA Access on XB1) trial offer with my Xbox One and the free 10 hours only applies for the mplay player vs player modes. The trial only allows you to play the 1st 2 missions for the SP story mode. I guess you could play those 2 story mission over and over again for 10 hours, but I found the whole trial thing deceptive.

I also just bought EA play on steam after it showed i would get a free 10 hour trial which is not available. I've just applied for a refund. They need to update their advert.
