Using a Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas 4 with Squadrons
Sorry for the newbie questions here. Just got Squadrons and trying to use it in VR with an Oculus Quest 2 and Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas 4.

It's been a long time since I tried a flying sim, so I am VERY rusty. Is there a way to reverse the pitch control? I am used to diving when I push the joystick forward and rising when I pull it back. On the Hotas 4, it does the exact opposite and that is really screwing my head up!

Also, is there some easy way to "brake" or go to zero velocity? I realize that I can cut thrust, but in space, that doesn't stop me from still moving forward (inertia and all that).

Obviously, I need help!

Update...okay, I found out how to invert pitch in the control settings.

But is there any way to reverse thrust in some way to slow down?

Throttle to zero, you come to a stop in a couple of seconds.

Very odd then. When I zero out the thrust, i don't seem to slow down even a little bit. Is there some setting within Squadrons that I perhaps need to tweak?

Sounds like your throttle is not mapped to the game correctly??

It seems that the current version is indeed bugged with Thrustmaster HOTAS, is that possible? I haven't played for a while and now have me new PC and I cannot get the throttle to work at all.

Nothing is shown concerning bindings for "2" stick, only "1" in the binding section.

Funnily the freelook and menu buttons on the second "throttle" stick working, even though they are not mapped officially.

I already tried the option in the steam game settings to ignore steam input/controller, but without any luck.

I used the "2018_FFD_2.exe" driver from the Thrustmaster site.

Any suggestions?

Aside from inverting the pitch axis control, I have not messed with any settings/bindings. I wouldn't know where to look to potentially tweak throttle settings.

I have the Thrustmaster HOTAS, it works fine.

Make sure you are looking at the correct controller number in the list. You may have adjusted the settings on #1 when your HOTAS is #2.

I put roll on my stick, but the roll axis isn't as sensitive as the yaw axis, so many pilots put yaw on the stick like in the old games. If you watch the pilot's hands, that's how the stick is set up in the fighters.

I have rudder pedals, so I put yaw on those. Is it better? Probably not. Is it fun? Hell, yes!
