Game picks up rudder pedals but will not bind
I have done so much digging around and I tried just about everything, unplugging the stick and throttle had no affect.

The game detects my vpc warbrd and throttle and they works great with all buttons mapped out however my turtle beach velocity one rudder pedals are shown in the game but when I try to bind nothing happens.

Flight stick 1- virpil warbrd
Flight stick 2 virpil throttle
Flight stick 3- velocity one rudder

Strangely, I can map the rudder pedals to “controller” as if the game thinks my pedals is an Xbox controller.

I even tried emulating my flight stick and throttle and rudder as an Xbox controller using x360ce. It worked but my toe brakes were causing pitch/roll input and I couldn’t find a way to stop it so I gave up.

Finally I decided to just use my Z axis on the twist grip but yet another issue…. The game doesn’t register the input as an axis but as buttons instead. This means yaw is on an on/off input in stead of linear input. What gives? I really don’t want to have to use an Xbox controller.

Is there anything possible that may get this rudder pedal working? I really love this game and it’s a shame it’s dying or perhaps died a long time ago. Help.

Just out of curiosity:

What do you want rudder pedals to do in this game? I don't think the flight model has any functionality that would make them useful, but if you disagree I'd genuinely love to here your thoughts.

Separately:

If you like this, try X-Wing Alliance. There's a community update for it that brings the graphics up a notch. Not quite to modern AAA standards, but they did a good job of it.

Well, it just feels natural due to muscle memory from flight sims. I understand this is a whole different thing but for the fun of it. I don’t play multiplayer so being competitive isn’t on my list. I will look up the game you’re talking about. Thanks.

Cool.

I think it would be fun to build a controller modeled after the TIE Fighter controls. Ever notice how the don't have a discreet throttle handle? Because they don't need one. You can control three degrees of motion with two hands on the two handles of a single control. I'd be surprised nothing like that is commercially available, but flight simulators are a pretty niche market at this point.
