Analog mouse input in Squadrons directly affects your turn rate, just like traditional analog stick and joystick inputs.
It keeps mouse inputs from being too strong compared to other options.

This is either a skill issue or you have your "mouse screen motion range" set way too low. I seriously don't know what everybody is complaining about, plenty of games have similar methods of control, the Half-Life 2 mod Eternal Silence comes to mind, which I played a ton of.
