Black screen (only HUD) after entering in the Star destroyer's Hangar in Mission 10

After entering in the star destroyer's Hangar, in mission 10, i can only see the HUD and the objectives. All the rest is black.

I beat the mission by after entering hangar to load those torpedos and got the black screen, I did a reload from the last checkpoint, which was exactly when having the torpedos loaded.

I had this issue as well but on Mission 13. I load into the mission via checkpoint and it runs fine but if I go to the Star Destroyer hanger I return to the battle with a black screen. Red target indicators and the hanger icon still exist but nothing else. I changed my video settings around, and updated my Nvidia drivers but nothing seemed to help.

I get this bug too after entering a hangar during a mission to reload or repair during the singleplayer campaign.

Yes, same issue here as well. I think it is also mission 10. Really tough to beat that mission without a repair or two

Yep this happens every time I enter the SD's hangar. Hard to believe the game was released with bugs like this.

This happens to me too. Things I've tried:
1. updated my Radeon software to 20.11.1.
2. disabled all of the Radeon features.
3. tried the alt-tab and alt-enter tricks.
4. tried the compatibility settings trick --> right click starwarssqadrons.exe --> compatibility --> change high DPI settings --> checked program DPI and high DPI scaling behavior, <apply>, <ok>.
5. tried running in compatibility mode for Windows 7

Nothing seems to work and I'm presently stuck on mission 10.

My PC:
MSI Radeon 5700XT Evoke OC
Ryzen 1600X
2x8 GB DDR4 2400
Asrock X370 Killer/AC
Windows 10 Home
other stuff...

Did you try reloading a checkpoint after you enter the hangar? It worked for me.

Just reload from the first checkpoint. You're gonna have the missiles in your ship.

I had the same issue so I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and it seemed to clear the problem.

Yes, I can get the game working again if I exit to main menu and start again from most recent checkpoint, the same way I can get it working EVERY TIME I start a mission with NO CONTROLS. That's not the point, this is a bug that should never have made it to release.

I get the black screen as well on mission 10 after I enter the Star Destroyer. If I retry from last check point it is always that I have to enter the Star Destroyer to get the torpedoes and every time I do I get the black screen. Very frustrated as I can't continue.

Im having the same issue today with everything up to date...

its a bummer because im playing on Ace and without the hangar its almost impossible
