Apparently, the game renders the game in VR at 80% resolution. After tweaking the config file to render it at 100%, for some reason, my VR experience has been MUCH better. Perfect? No, but better.
What you'll need to do is go to the settings folder (default for me was documents\STAR WARS Squadrons Steam\settings) and open the "ProfileOptions_profile" file in notepad
Look for the "GstRender.ResolutionScale_VR" line and change the 0.8 to 1, save it and load the game up. You SHOULD see a difference.
Also, be sure to make a back up of the file BEFORE you do any of this JUST IN CASE you botch something (not judging, it happens)
Some other settings seem to be hard coded to a default that the game will change back. For instance: you can disable normal motion blur just fine by changing the 1 to a 0, but doing the same for the VR setting won't stick. The value will change back to 1 when the game is started.
I'm using Quest 1 as well
