A loading gray screen for ever?

Did anybody knows what it's happening after the anticheat and before the Inside game screen, because my game it's stuck and that gray loading screen for a long time and doesnt run the game, i validate the files and also reinstalling the game again works for a while but it's happening again.

I downloaded the game, linked the EA account and can play without any trouble. Sorry to hear that.

I have the same issue. Seems it is EA account related. 8 minutes to start the game in main menu and then 6 minutes more for actually play the game. Djeezes.

I downloaded this game off of Steam and i never had to link my ea and Steam to play until recently I redownloaded this game and it only loads onto a gray screen, I've gone to all the help websites and forums and they all say the same thing, click the sign in with steam option...well when I do that I get prompt saying my credentials are expired and I need to change my password, to do this I need to have an email or ea ID and I do not know of an email that was ever linked between the two and god only knows the ea ID

I was able to open and play Squadrons just fine a few months ago. Now, today, I keep getting the grey screen that only says "Close" up in the top right. If I move the cursor around, I can hear it selecting something down in the bottom right corner of the screen, but all I can see is grey. Closing it takes me to the game menu but informs me that it won't connect to my account. Signing into my account on the EA website does nothing to change this, and their help section doesn't offer any assistance here, either.

Seems like I should be able to play the game I paid money for, EA. Is that too difficult of a proposition?

go to ea sports login and under account settings then connections and link it to steam

Yep. Bought it from steam. But I had to download the ea app and link my steam and ea accounts. What a Faff.

Just in case anyone is still having this issue. I tried all kinds of things to get around the grey screen when loading. Solution for me was to drop the monitor resolution to 1366x768 and launch the game. This then shows the complete grey screen with clickable options. Change the resolution after it's launched.

Solution (it works for me): You must disable "Login verification" option in your account in ea.com, in "Security" section. (Obviously you have linked your steam account in ea.com first).

Top right of gray screen there is CLOSE option, click it and you'll be offline.
Download EA app. Register and log in.
Bottom right corner - import friends from steam
Opens steam login - log in
Connect accounts option shold be there somewhere... cant remember but shouldn't be hard from here.

Disabling login verification worked for me.
