thrustmaster Warthog problems
Hi, Could someone explain the magic incantation to get a TM Warthog working properly. The stick is ok, but I cannot get the throttle to work.
The game shows the warthog, and my ch pedals as options for joystick one and 2.
I have tried normal, and I have tried with a Target profile including the stick and throttle, but in game have no throttle.
The default option is joystick 1 slider. There is no slider on the stick, and no response from the slider on the throttle.
If I try to remap, and move the throttles they are not recognised.
If I use target to create the Thrustmaster Combined, The game still only sees Warthog and pedals, even after restart, and no buttons are recognised from the throttle.

The profile I set might include my thrustmaster displays as well as the throttle. Would that affect it?

Thanks

Game can see at max your first 4 devices.
If the game does see your throttle (listed at the bottom of the controls panel) and just does not recognize your throttle axis than using target and remapping the throttle to for example a slider axis in target might help. The game acts very, very odd based on the name/direct x designation an axis has been given.

Hey Trooperrob, I think people have initially struggled with HOTAS in general. I think only 3 items can be recognised so yes, your TM displays may be affecting it. I had the issue where my Saitek rudder would only recognise one axis....There are a number of posts on here for the various issues with flight sticks. I don't use TARGET software. I solved my issue by unplugging all flight stick, rudder and throttle (I use the Warthog stick and throttle with Saitek rudder). Firstly, I plugged in the rudder, started the game (not in VR) and then mapped the rudder commands. In my case I use rudder for side to side rather than roll. Save mappings then exit the game. Now plug in the Stick and restart the game. At this point (hopefully) there will be two flight stick options showing your rudder and your flight stick. Map the flight stick commands then save again. Exit the game, insert your throttle. Hopefully it is recognised and repeat what you have done with stick and rudder. Importantly, ensure that each component has it's own number - in my case the stick is no1, rudder is no2 and throttle is no3. I hope this helps a little? Good luck, but do keep trawling the forums for help too :) o7

I've made a TARGET script that enables yaw-on-roll for Warthog Joysticks. This maps all axes to one virtual controller. Perhaps you can use that. Check it out here[github.com]

I understand the 4 items, but the target profile should put everything under 1 stick, so only the combined + rudder should show.
If you use target, should you see the game recognising the combined profile, or does it still say thrustmaster hotas.
Does the game detect sticks at load, or install, as in, Do I have to load the target profile, uninstall and reinstall?
Thanks for all your replies.
edit - should I see the stick and throttle as separate items in the joystick panel. (in which case I couldn't use the rudder.
Stupendous, does your machine show thrustmaster combined as the joystick, and allow you to use the throttle (as extra axes on the joystick), so you could use additional rudder.

I cannot believe this is an issue with a game released in 2020.
