Question on Targeting
Is this possible and how exactly? If I target a Capital Ship is it possible to cycle between it's systems?

I've tried Flagship systems in the targeting wheel but I still get my own team, tie fighters, and other junk instead of cycling through targets on the actual Capital Ship.

If possible, please spell it out for me, because it seems like I might be missing something totally obvious here. Or is it a game of memorize these items locations, then point and target them individually while having Target Flagship Systems active?

hold 5 and select the option for "Flagship subsystem"
then when you press F you will cycle thru the capital's subsystems (that are not destroyed).

Please note, only the large cap ships have subsystems and turrets are not included in this. As a result, the smaller blockade runner and cruisers wont have subsystems or anything to destroy other than turrets.

It's simple though, power system bottom, targeting top. Star destroyer shield generators are the balls, on the MC75 they're on the side and they look kind of like vents I guess.
Changing targeting only affects the (F key by default) and it only targets said thing if it is spotted I think subsystems are always spotted though so idk

That did not answer my question whatsoever, it provided me locations which I already know.

When you select something from the wheel, you hit cycle through targets, it will only cycle what you have selected.
This includes flagship subsystems.

If you select something from the wheel, but only use your "select target in front of me" button, then it will target random ♥♥♥♥ in front of you.

I have a feeling youre either not selecting it from the wheel properly, or you are not using the correct xycle target button

Yea you can. Use the targeting wheel to select flagship systems. If the button is not mapped then you will have to map it.

Not sure your controller input, but you want to pull the targeting wheel (default on controller is Left trigger), then select the bottom (or 6 O'Clock on a dial) option for Capital Subsystems.

From there you can Cycle (default is A on Xbox controller) through the various subsystems of the capital ship; I'm pretty sure it defaults to nearest, but you're able to cycle through and find the most damaged.

Finally, in the options, under gameplay is: Auto-Target Attacked Hostiles - that is extremely useful, as you'll auto switch your targeting to that subsystem; provided your within range, and hitting it. Once your targeting is taken care of, all you need now is wait until the lock-on signal is ready.

I follow you for sure, thought I had tried it that way as well. I will go test for sure but know exactly what to try and what not to press. lol. Thanks!

You're better off dumbfiring anyway, targeting subsystems is pointless except for torpedoes and they can be shot down by turrets

That is exactly what i do. You can also manually target whatever you are looking at too.
