audio popping
I'm using a blutooth xbox controller and everytime I turn it on my audio when I play the game starts popping and I don't know how to fix it.

Bluetooth can cause DPC (Deferred Procedure Call) spikes that can cause streaming audio popping.

Typically network adapters as the biggest culprit, but bluetooth can do it also.

Try disabling sound enhancments and special effects in SOUND in CONTROL PANEL.
Use the controller with a wire instead.
Otherwise, its a long road of trying to tweak your DPC Latency & System Interrupts to get the latency down until it doesnt pop.

Its usually a problem thats always been there, but some games (the way they use or are reliant upon ram or procedure calls ie. control inputs, streaming audio) can push it over the edge to popping.

EDIT
If youre using bluetooth through your network adapter, roll back your network adapter drivers, and only use signed from the manufacturer, dont use win10 defaults (even if they do the job).

Can I just get a cable for my xbox one controller to bypass the blutooth?

i dunno. i dont use controller for anything, and im playing on a HOTAS.
Try use a cable and disable bluetooth (EDIT: DISABLE, dont just turn off).
Its a good place to start.

Download LatencyMon (free) and run it in the background to monitor your latency as you play. It will tell you what your latency is, if you have problems, and point out the biggest culprit so you can narrow your troubleshooting.

I sympathise with you though, i have had DPC latency issues with other simulators before and figuring out the problem is a pain in the butt.
Eventually to fix it, i brought a higher quality network card and it fixed my problems.

To learn about DPC Latency, just google. Theres TONNES of info on it. Its not an uncommon problem.
