I had to install this:

You can uninstall Easy AntiCheat if you want to play Squadrons. The worse thing that can happen is if you try to play the game that requires it, it will re-download the software for you.
I don't have a problem with anti cheat, and I also don't have a firewall rule for the EAC program and I don't need a connection to EA for the singleplayer, the EA client isn't running, not even the background service.
