Cannot run Star Wars Squadrons due to Easy Anti Cheat

I don't know what else to say, i bought the game and it won't run due to this Anti Cheat thing (which I've never heard of before). I have no idea what to do.

Had this and a PC restart fixed it every time. Look into firewall-settings, I bet Anto Cheat needs to communicate home in order to work properly.

Mine refuses to run if the "LightingService", the thing that controls the colors of my PC cooling fans, is running. I have to stop the service for EAC to stop complaining.

Do you have PUBG? Player Unknown's Battlegrounds uses it. I don't play PUBG anymore but I left Easy AntiCheat on my computer because it's possible one or more of my other games uses it. Some games like Valorant have their own custom anticheat. Services like ESEA and FaceIt require you use their anticheat as well in order ot use their service. But I think Easy AntiCheat is licensed for use in certain games when the devs don't want to make or manage their own.

You can uninstall Easy AntiCheat if you want to play Squadrons. The worse thing that can happen is if you try to play the game that requires it, it will re-download the software for you.

Find the software (Frosty modding tools, anti-virus, drivers, etc) that is triggering the anti-cheat and disable them. If that fails, disable the anti-cheat[www.pcgamingwiki.com], but you won't be able to play multiplayer.

I don't have a problem with anti cheat, and I also don't have a firewall rule for the EAC program and I don't need a connection to EA for the singleplayer, the EA client isn't running, not even the background service.
