Worth it for campaign only and a bit offline multiplayer with bots?

I am not interested in playing this game online. I just want enjoy a nice story and good space combat. Is the campaign alone worth it?

It is a multi-player focused game. The offline campaign is short but depending on what difficulty you choose, can be a challenge. You can play offline with bots in Fleet Battles and Practice Mode. I play mostly offline due to my internet connection but I do enjoy what I can with the game. You can still earn glory and points to upgrade weapons and cosmetics offline but it is a bit of a grind.

It is NOT a multiplayer focused game, it's actually pretty balanced, with arguably a lot more of the development time having been put into the campaign than the multiplayer modes.

The campaign is shortish (though not massively short depending on what you compare it to. 6-10 hours, towards the higher end if you play on at least veteran difficulty (which I recommend), that's in the same ball park as Half-Life or Halo. Certainly shorter than I'd like but still plenty of meat there to get stuck into. Really shines the second time through playing on Ace difficulty too and there are several missions I can see myself playing over and over (much like I did with certain Halo levels).

Add to that plenty of fun offline fleet battles with bots when you just want to blast some stuff and I can say without any hesitation YES as someone who plays mostly offline it is worth it. Doubly so at the current sale price, in fact it's a steal right now.
