i mean i shut everything down anyways when i play any game just incase yano? seems there is some massive issues with this game at the moment and hopefully they sort them out soon=/ i would like to play but 100% cpu and like 20% hotas deadzones are ruining all enjoyment i'm afraid.
Cap your FPS otherwise it will melt your CPU during loading screens. Might as well cap to 60 to avoid the stutter bug

If you are hitting 100% CPU, TURN OFF THE GAME IMMEDIATELY. You can seriously damage it, and potentially other components in your PC/laptop.

The last thing you want, is to pay $40 to put yourself out of $1000.

Silly question maybe, but how do you know it's at 100% if you aren't using monitoring software?

You can check it through task manager.

CPUs and GPUs are designed to run at 100% forever.

What matters is heat - heat is the killer. As long as you have good cooling then nothing to worry about. You will not damage anything!

Why it is suddenly using 100% is a suddenly different story but bear in mind that task manager is not accurate for measuring CPU or GPU usage.

Yeah, now that you mention it, I haven't been monitoring CPU load, but after a while this game gets super choppy, and quitting through the in-game menus either crashes Steam VR or (less frequently) freezes my entire PC, requiring a restart. I think I'm going to wait until this game is patched before playing again.

I'm running on a 1080 ti overclocked by 10% and a i7-6700k overclocked to 4.6 GHz with 32 GB RAM @ 3200 MHz using auto settings in the game's menus for graphics and VR graphics.

yeh for sure but its its just worrying cause the game should not cause such stress for my cpu. like i run more demanding games and its fine, hopefully they fix it but i can tell my cpu is 100% cause man the noise is mental

That shouldnt be happening in a new game made by a AAA company.
