Constant crashing
It has gotten to the point where it becomes frustrating.

I can't seem to load into more than 1 or 2 games without the game crashing upon getting to the part where I am in the cockpit in any mode, story, fleet battles, or otherwise.

It appears when setting your map in the Fleet Battles vs AI to Yavin leads to 100% crash.

I am surprised at the state of this game. I might just have to wait a little bit until it gets fixed.

You got the most recent update for your drivers? My friend had a similar issue and a driver update and fresh install sorted him out. Also making sure you're in fullscreen playing on your monitor's native resolution may help.

Same probleme here. Getting to the story part were Yavin should be loading, game crashes (the game stops, return to the desktop imediatly) 100% while loading.
Same for "Quick match" (the game stops, return to the desktop imediatly)
Only Training is still loading with no crashes, no Yavin involved I guess...

Ill haver to waite untill EA releases a Fix to be able to continue the storyline ... haha. I love EA!! ...

All drives up to date. I play Windowed-Full-Screen (3 Monitors connected with Nvidia PhysX on native size "7680x1440")

I get crashes too in loading screens. At first I didn't. nothing changed, and now I do. Makes little sense.

I was getting crashes before the latest drivers, and after. I try to always do a clean install when I can.

I am for sure playing fullscreen at native resolution.

Funny enough, I went into training mode for Fleet Battle vs AI, and it crashed after the briefing, when going into the actual fighter part of that tutorial. It's practically unplayable

Check setting for "Volumetric Quality" and lower it. Helped me a lot!:steamsunny:

This solved the problem for me on the Yavin Mission!
Thank you :-)

I got frequent crashes, too - minimum 1-2 crashes / hour. Thats really frustrating.

It allowed me to play Yavin! Despite it being a bland map.
Hasn't fixed any of the other crashes
I fixed this on my Nvidia 1070 by doing the following.

Volumetric detail set to Medium
Fullscreen mode
Image Sharpening (off) in the Nvidia Control Panel.

Origin/Steam overlays turned off.

Hope this helps.

Still crashing to desktop after spawning 2 out of 3 times..
other settings in Nvidia control panel:
latest driver
low latency off
texture quality set to performance
power set to max performance

no it doesn't help. at the beginning the CPU is at 100% and if it doesn't crash it crashes a little later....
