The gameplay and videos I saw looked extremely fun. But once I started playing, I had zero moments of fun. Thank god for Steams refund policy. I put about an hour and 20 minutes into it, and it sucks big time. I only played story mode, and it frustrated the hell out of me. There was literally no sense of direction. There's no map or objective point telling you where to go. Just a simple "GO HERE, DO THIS".

I spent roughly 20min trying to find the damn ships I needed to scan in the first mission because it was not clear or obvious where I had to go or what I had to do. After doing that, I FINALLY got to do some combat stuff, and the combat was HORRIBLE. Enemies literally have to be right in front of you to shoot them. Turns are super clunky, take FOREVER and make me dizzy. On top of that, the enemies are ALWAYS faster and behind you. I spend like 30 seconds getting lined up for a kill shot, then the enemy just instantly gets behind and starts gunning me down. Oh boy, ANOTHER 30 seconds of me flying aimlessly just to hopefully get a kill.

The game play is extremely slow. Very clunky. And just, overall, bad. Spacebattles in Battlefront 2 are fun, because they're fast and exciting. In this game, its the complete opposite. This sucks. I was really excited for this game. And now that I've played it, I can tell you, its god awful. The trailers and reviews couldn't be more wrong. This is not the fun, Starwars pilot game we've been waiting for. This is just some god awful, clunkfest, pain in the ass, poorly designed flight simulator with a Starwars skin. If you want fun Starwars space battles, then stick to Battlefront 2. Not this pile of trash game. Thank you steam for having such a nice refund policy. I will gladly take my $40 back, as the devs who overhyped this garbage game does not deserve it.

Yea ive gotta say, the part of being confused is kinda sounding like an OP problem lmao, I have had no issue finding out where to go and following my objectives. And I find the combat very enjoyable too if you actually know how to lead and have some experience in flight movement.

Engagement distance in this is pretty comparable to any WW2 flight sim honestly. If you lead your shots you can hit them from further away but not all the way across the map.

While the game needs some work, I actually enjoyed the first mission. Definitely nostalgic moments from the old X-Wing games. I'm liking the flight model challenging and fun so far.

Completely disagree, but you are entitled to your opinion. Doesnt feel slow or clunky at all to me I dunno maybe we are playing different games hah.

No. Upset, because they tell you to "Scan that ship" when there's like 20 of them. No special mark or highlight given to the ship you need to scan or direction you need to go too, which is stupid. I like having a sense of direction so I'm not wasting time just casually flying around. Even with full speed, it feels really slow.
