Thanks for the Info.
It's intentional, they have 3rd person implemented for spectator view, they just don't want people using it for advantage.
"besides some simulators''.
Guess what this game is trying to be? More simulation like. It's not an arcade shooter like Rogue Squadron. It's a competitive 5vs5 at it's core. Same reason games like CS:GO, Valorant, Overwatch etc don't allow third person.
This has nothing to do with leaving out ''common basics'' as you call it, but has everything to do with you failing to understand the type of product it is.
"besides some simulators" lmao.
You failing at reading comprehension is not the responsibility of the game developers.
Thats a serious disappointment for me then, i hoped they continiue the original rogue sqadrons games. Gues they just continiue the story, but make the gameplay focus on a completly different spectrum.
Well, thanks for the info again.
Make a list of games that include vehicles. I bet you most games you find have a third-person view atleast as an option. And most of the first-person games are simulators or somewhat simulator like. Like this game seems to be.
I readed the description, i saw "first-person", i only wante to clarefy if its "only" first-person.
And yes, with many, if not most vehicle games including atleast a third-person camera as an option (this includes alot of Star Wars games too), i do see it as a regression.
Pretty cool of you to insult OP for 'failing to understand the type of product it is' when the point was to get a better understanding of the type of product it is.
Star Wars BF2 from Dice still brings best experience of 3rd person and no one cares of advantage because game about fun. Squadrons created for VR mostly, and it's a big mistake, and failure in total end. I mean Squadrons should get both views. And if they cares of absence advantage then should only 1 view cockpit in multiplayer.
i bought game, played 30 minutes and tired of spinning of cocpit. Its not fun and not cool with keyboard and mouse. Maybe with joystick is better, idk. but 3rd person is awesome game feeling and as result more active players (users of both views). And what we have now? Few elite cockpit fans playing online. Game died not because they think about game future or players, but because their (devs) only goal to make VR game. And i know what i am talking about
We all come back to BF2 by dice to play more from 3rd person. Game still can give you joy of play. And what about sw squadrons? no one cares even about singleplayer because whole game without 3rd person is buzzkiller. Now i am watching Youtube Squadrons gamemovie, because i dont want to play but want to know events and eastereggs in storymode.
If after whole these years they add 3rd person to game - it will brings new players atleast to singleplayer.
Because singleplayer storymode is actual, always. And this one is rich
This is the way!
