Cannot set "Yaw left" on joystick or pedals
Game allows me to set "Yaw right" on Z+ axis, but is unable to map "Yaw left" on Z- axis, what the heck?

I tried it both on joystick and rudder pedals, does not work with either

same for me... Only seems to detect rotate Z- but not + so can only assign one YAW and not the other direction
this makes the game unplayable, sad, I was looking forward to it, lets hope they fix it soon

so, here is a quick work-around to that. if your joystick has a twist function, set it to controller 3 (or 2 if thats the one that you plan on having your rudder pedals as) then bind the axis using the stick. after that switch back to that controller being the pedals and the joystick back to controller 1. its stupid and takes a bit, but should work. its what i had to do.

Same. Refunded it. Can't be bothered with companies who don't test this stuff anymore. I've lost all patience for it.

it does not register twist on Z- on joystick either, only Z+, same as with pedals

had the same problem with setting yaw to stick twist on the x56. it would only detect the stick being twisted in 1 direction. After a bit of investigation it seems it would only detect the first direction you moved it in (ie if you first turned to the right it would detect that but not the left, if you restarted then and first tried turning it left then the right wouldnt work)

fixed it by going to customise the controls then unplugged and replugged in the stick,. then it worked fine.

Well, if you can get that axis to work on any controller, it should work to follow those steps. Yea, the joystick controls are kinda scuffed. They were like this back in the beta 2ish months ago as well, so I really don't know what if any work was done on them. Fingers crossed it gets fixed soon.

I'm in the same boat, using MFG Crosswinds, assigning yaw right works but left wont get accepted, or yaw left is accepted but yaw right doesn't. To get around this (for now) i have to use the brake pedal option on them.

To make matters worse on the first mission the TIE just flies in a straight line and only accepts roll and no other input.

Joystick is a TM Warthog btw.

I'm also playing with an hotas warthog, and a VKB T-rudder, the RZ axis of the T rudder isn't recognised at all from the game...

I tried to map the yaw axis on the second throttle, but it's worst ...

I hope this will get fixed quickly

i cant get the game to detect my virpil rudder. they work in star citizen. not this game. i even plugged in some thrustmaster t peddals and same - not detected. my strealing wheel = virpil left and right alpha no issue. ( i tried disableing the steam input method - no joy)

I haven't launched the game yet but is it like ED in which when yawing it's a really slow turn compared to pitching? I prefer to have yawing along the X axis and rolling on the Z, but if yawing is really slow compared to pitching, then I'm going to have to do it the way everyone else does.

Yaw is pretty quick. It's faster than in ED, then again I slowed my yaw down in ED a bit, but it is faster in Squadrons.
