Gentlemen, I bring a solution to our Windows 7, AKA Boomer OS, problem.
* Download ReShade: https://reshade.me/
* Run it and choose Star Wars Squadrons from the list of games it shows you.
* It will ask you what post processing effects you want. I just chose the default settings.
* Once done, run the game. If you want to get rid of the ReShade bar at the top, hit the "HOME" key and click "Skip Tutorial." Then hit the "ESC" key and it should fade from the screen. If it doesn't, press HOME again.
* Have fun!
Works like a charm.
As the others have said Win 10 is for android phones, not a PC. Keeps ordering me around and won't run older games. Heck, won't run Firefox as the default browser. When I wanted Windows Media Player it tried to sell me an app for $14! No thanks MS. Get your software fixed. Hopefully Windows 11 will be for PCs, or at least realize it is on a PC and not a phone. Until then it's Windows 7 for gaming. You too Unreal, provide support for the last OS for PC's, Windows 7.
