Can't launch - The procedure entry point DXGIGetDebugInterface1 could not be located in the dynamic link library dxgi.dll
As in the title, I'm getting this message:
The procedure entry point DXGIGetDebugInterface1 could not be located in the dynamic link library dxgi.dll.
Anyone else having this problem? Any workarounds?

Got this too. The only thing I can find about this is that it won't run on Windows 7 despite it being the 2nd most popular OS on Steam. I'm not about to buy W10 for the sake of 1 game so I guess we'll have to wait for a fix or it's back to Elite Dangerous with a refund.

I'm not gonna reinstall all my W7 (and work related software) to play this game. If that is true, i'll claim back my money

The amount of control I have on win7 compared to Win10 and how it would affect how I use my pc for work it's not worth it. Besides it looks like the combat physics are a bit arcade like compared to ED. have fun tho ;D

you don't have to reinstall anything..as long as the upgrade goes ok all your files and programs will be in place.. I would use a program like macrium to image my drive in case something blew up but other than that.. upgrade in place.. and your good.
Enjoy your stone age OS.

Oh, I intend to.

Gentlemen, I bring a solution to our Windows 7, AKA Boomer OS, problem.

* Download ReShade: https://reshade.me/
* Run it and choose Star Wars Squadrons from the list of games it shows you.
* It will ask you what post processing effects you want. I just chose the default settings.
* Once done, run the game. If you want to get rid of the ReShade bar at the top, hit the "HOME" key and click "Skip Tutorial." Then hit the "ESC" key and it should fade from the screen. If it doesn't, press HOME again.
* Have fun!

Works like a charm.

Conan Exiles had this same problem with, I guess Unreal Engine and had it fixed in a little over one day.

As the others have said Win 10 is for android phones, not a PC. Keeps ordering me around and won't run older games. Heck, won't run Firefox as the default browser. When I wanted Windows Media Player it tried to sell me an app for $14! No thanks MS. Get your software fixed. Hopefully Windows 11 will be for PCs, or at least realize it is on a PC and not a phone. Until then it's Windows 7 for gaming. You too Unreal, provide support for the last OS for PC's, Windows 7.

Same here. Holding on to Windows 7 until the bitter end.
