Valve Index poor performance
I saw in Adam Savage's Tested video that he got a steady 120hz at Ultra settings with his valve index and a RTX 2070 Super. I have an index too and a 2080ti/9900k and I play at low settings at 110SS/80hz and barely get a steady framerate with consistent stutters. Anyone else got this issue?

On a Rift S with an RTX 2070, which is obviously not helpful to you, other than to say that it is performing well for me. Best of luck finding a fix!

Playing on a Rift here, and have issues as well. It feel like it's locking at 60fps and reprojecting up. Someone in another thread felt the same, and even on a monitor, people appear to be getting locked to 60 regardless of the refresh rate of their monitor.

7700K and 2080Ti and it looks like it's re-projecting all the time, even on low settings, despite having a good frame time.

How did you even get this working on Rift S? I can't launch into other than desktop mode, despite selecting SteamVR mode. Nor there is any "VR options" inside the game, that some people keep talking about. Seen several people with same issue

Several people here not getting Rift S working:

Does VSync on/off make any difference?

No problems on vive Pro running everything ultra on 1080ti and i7700k sweet as butter

Same here, seems very far from the Tested claim of 150% SS on index at 120Hz.

Works fine on Index. 2080TI, Ryzen 9 3950x, everything Ultra and 120% SS

When you launch it from Steam, you select VR mode, then once in game, there should be a key binding to switch to VR and back if you want. Initially started out with a controller plugged in, and it was Y to switch modes.

Yup i'm also getting terrible performance/reprojection on a Valve Index @ 90hz. my specs are I7 10700k with a 2080Ti and 32 Gigs of RAM. so ya something is going on here for sure. Hope this gets figured out fast cause ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ it's amazing in my simpit with HOTAS and buttkicker.

i have turn off the reprojection and it's smooth in the cockpit 90 fps but all outside feel like 30 fps.
these is very bad implémentation of vr, seriously i can't turn off taa. it's blurry and ugly. 144 hz screens have the same framerate problem. Maybe they never try pc version, and focus on console. if they have no solution in 2 weeks i'll refund the game.

i9 9900k and 2080ti - zero problems on max settings with index. Love it!

I tried on my 32:9 and I see the same 'strobing' despite being at 120fps.

What's your super sampling and refresh rate? Is vsync turned on? Do you have a dual monitor setup? Looking for anything that could be wrong, but seeing many people are having this issue I think it's just a matter of luck..
