Stuck at Mash and Button?

I'm using HOTAS, but tried mashing keyboard and mouse buttons too... can't regain control... bit frustrating... kinda thinking abut a refund... haha... Anyone one else not able to progress through story line stuck at "Mash any Button"?

update... still can't progress.... I'm not the only one starting with the Imps? Try as I might, can't reactivate the ship.....

You can change it from mashing a button to holding a button in the options. See if that helps.

Yeah. The game is so much more similar to the old TIE Fighter than I expected. Love it so far! Hope it works out for you!

If not, just play with a mouse and keyboard until you are past the mash a button part as a solution.

Found it, change 'Disable State Input' from Mash to HOLD

Stuck here as well. Already found the option to change from Mash to Hold before reading this thread but no joy.

UPDATE: Need to reload from checkpoint after making the change, then holding a button works fine. If you change the setting while you're sitting there stuck, it won't work.

I think it's a little misleading. It says to mash everything and anything, but I had more luck mash one button instead. Swapped over to HOLD though as in multiplayer I'd rather not mash all of my buttons.

yeah this is totally killing it between the cluster ♥♥♥♥ of control mappings and stupid ♥♥♥♥ like this...
and people think star citizen is glitchy.
