Negative, I play warthunder constantly and that is not true.
They should at least give us two options when using a mouse - the cursor controls, and direct controls (mouse stops moving, ship stops turning).
The way it is now, I have to find the mouse cursor on the screen, and then move it to the middle to stop turning. That means I can't look around at other things. I have to use my eyes to control the ship instead of letting my hand control the ship so I can use my eyes for other things, like looking at the gauges and stuff.
So in Warplanes it's like I want it to be? Stop moving mouse = plane stops turning.
They based it off of the mid 1990's games like X-Wing and Tie Fighter that required a Joystick.
100% my friend, underrated flight combat game imo. I love the game.
Following a mouse pointer is more like a simulator? Is that what you're saying?
Sticking Simulated controls on top of Arcade gameplay is not working either obv.
I have tried it, it's just so long a go that I don't remember what the controls were like, not even if I used a mouse or controller.
No I'm saying that the way its making you move the mouse around, and if it's not centered you drift... Is emulating a joystick or controller when if its not centered the ship drifts also.
The scheme with WT is not at all like a simulator. It is more like pointing a finger and having the autopilot go where you pointed. You never control the plane. That's why it's easier.
