Anyone having the same issue? If yes how to fix it. I can start the game at all. Thanks

Mine does this with 'RGBFusion.exe' - its a motherboard LED light thing, suspect yours is something similar. Kill it in task manager and it won't be a problem.

Thanks bud i'll give it a try

Thats kinda scary

It's common with easy cheat - just go into task manager and shut off your RGB software. If you just turn it 'off' its not good enough, you have to end task in the TM.

cull LightingService in task manager, it's an old issue sadly. I still get it despite all the *fixes* purely because I use an asus tuf board and have corsair iCue installed.

Used to boot me out of Division 2 reguarly due to it.

AAA game... RGB everything in PC tech these days... seems like a no-brainer fix that they just didn't bother with.

Yep, experienced the same error when running iCue. Closed that program and the game worked perfectly fine afterwards.

seems like EAC is trash if it thinks lighting control is a cheat program. And it looks like this has been an issue with EAC since at least early 2019. They just need to patch it already.

I'm getting a different one, something to do with it detecting a patched bootloader. I've used other EAC games with no issue before and my system shouldn't have anything patched. Figured it has to do with the insider preview. Running a defender scan then going to try reverting to the normal version of Windows. I'm not reinstalling for a measly game.

Might've been something I changed recently. For Halo MCC it's complaining about d3d11.dll. Can't believe I'm saying this but I never had this problem with denuvo. Trying to open the game twice results in 10 minutes of play time in Steam. For a loading bar splash screen. Screw this.

It the error is detecting "patched Windows boot loader" then it is an issue with Windows Insider preview. And the problem lies with EAC. I've been using Windows 10 Insider builds for about a year now and first encountered this problem with Amazong Game's New World mmo preview in September which uses EAC as well. They straight up said EAC won't work with Windows Insider. I wasn't about to do a whole Windows reinstall for a brief test period for an MMO still over 6 months out. I am stuck with Star Wars Squadrons however (can't refund) so I am getting ready to do a fresh install of Windows 10 myself so I can at least get my money's worth out of this game.

Ah, that makes sense. Oddly enough I've had Insider Preview ever since the first part of Halo MCC came out on PC and it's only just affected me. But yeah it worked for me after a reinstall.

This helped me tons. Tried closing everything else but simply ending this simple thing in Task manager was enough!! Ty

good that this guide is still helping.
