Why is HOTAS not working?
I'm using the Thrustmaster Warthog hotas setup and the game does not register anything. I can't remap the controls, there's no hotas tab to change anything. Where is the full HOTAS support we were promised?

Have you explore every option in the controls?

There is a Remap button configuration under controls, and you have a choice of Menu, Hangar, and Flight (it may not be the exact names, but you get the idea). Pick one of them "Flight" for example, and you'll have a long list of functions that you can remap.

Just click on one function and do the action on your stick, and it should register it. For example: Roll Left, then tilt your joystick left.. and it'll register the action. Do the same for everything else, and eventually you'll get it working.

I've checked it and it isn't helpful at all.

Mine is detected, in game menus for controller: able to set joystick-device1 throttle-device2 chpropedals-device3 wirelesscontroller-device4. my only problem is it doesnt detect my pedal right for remap as roll right. pedal left is ok. now using throttle ministick for it instead.

Are you sure your rudder is mapped to axis and not keybinding?

You said there's no tab to change key-bindings. That thread someone tells you exactly how to get to that tab.

Yes I have. I've checked all the menus multiple times. There is no option to remap controls with any form of controller. The only options I have are keyboard and mouse. I have just tested my hotas with other steam games and they work perfectly. This isn't working for squadrons.

Well other people have figured it out, so clearly you just missed something.

Can you share some screenshots from what you're seeing? maybe we can help you figure it out. That's what we're here for..

same here. there is NO flight stick tab. I also tried to change the 'keyboard' mapping to stick, but it doesn't recognize the stick movement.
and I tried playing the flight simulator and it worked perfectly. It is not recognized only in squadrons.

I don't see any post in there that said they figured it out.

how many other controllers do you have connected? Some games can only recognize one at a time so maybe this one is also limited. Try disconnecting everything other than your hotas

I have X56 and I can remap them...
It took me a while to figure out, I managed to.

So you go into your control settings:
Then go to Remap buttons.

Choose the flight stick tab.

And when you want to remap the throttle, just click on the increase throttle, and push the throttle forward, and it'll register it. Do the same for the decrease throttle but the other way, pull it back and it'll register as well.

For the Roll, Pitch, and Yaw. Do the same thing, "Roll Left" tilt the X56 joystick to the left and it'll register the axis. "Yaw Right" twist the joystick to the right, and it'll register as well.

Just keep doing for all of them and you'll eventually get it.

Pro tip... explore everything, try out different things before jumping into conclusion that "it's broken". Because it's not.. It's just a bad UX design.

Additionally there are multiple people in this discord group who I am currently talking to, playing with HOTAS.

Well as I have already mentioned, the game isn't detecting any input from my hotas.
