Bought a new Logitech Extreme 3D Pro in preparation of SWS.

Just bought this. Never used one before. I installed the Logitech newest utility which recognizes all the buttons and the stick. Games recognize it but it won't work in any game. Running W10. Ideas?

Wdym dont work in any game? Hotas will not work on any game except flight sims (ace combat, Il2 sturmovik, X wing alliance etc.) or game that supports hotas

Mine doesn't seem to work in any of my games. Is that common? Is the list of HOTAS games small?

Update: Got Astrokill and Disputed Space to work perfectly. Overload would not work but seemed to recognize the 3D Pro. It seems the newest Windows 10 driver is dated 2010, Odd. So I guess I just cross my fingers for Logitech Extreme 3D Pro support on SWS?

So are you attempting to run HOTAS on a non-flight simulator? HOTAS only works on flight sims, I don't know the complete list of which sims it works with. Star Wars Squadrons does include HOTAS support so when the game comes out (Oct 2) you will be able to use your HOTAS on Squadrons.

Yes, I think I was. I am new to HOTAS. I bought the HOTAS for this game so I am good.

I bought a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro many years ago. The one I just bought seems to be exactly the same. I bought it because it is so durable. Not a lot of frills but easy to use and indestructible. For some reason these are almost impossible to get. Everyone is out of stock. Even Logitech. I had to pay double list to get it. Great stick.

The logitech extreme 3d pro is not a hotas, it's just a joystick. It is a great one though for the cost and the stick itself is actually quite nice. In terms of games supporting it, it is again just a joystick, like a controller. You need to set the software to use it as your input device.

I did set it as the default controller. And the only games I have that it works in are HOTAS supported games.

My Extreme 3D pro is about 3 or 4 years old. Installed SW Squadrons this night and tried to use the stick... was not recognized from the game, even not from the logitech central app. What a crap…

So I understand a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro is not HOTAS. The good news is the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro works perfect with this game. It was 100% plug and play and the control is spot on.
