Since you have to combine flight sim with RPG , open world and first/third person shooter.
Lucasarts thought about making this in the mid 90s but they felt that it was too overambitious and so they didn't make that.
There are a lot of games I can't believe nobody has tried to make because they will print money.
A straight up remaster of the old LucasArts flight sims, more open world SW games, a Jedi VR game...
For a company that everybody says puts money above all else they're pretty ♥♥♥♥ at trying to make it.
Personally, I'd kill for a Fallout/Elder Scrolls style Star Wars game. Singleplayer with an enriching story in space with ground and space combat in 3rd person or 1st person and absolute freedom. Want to kill Emperor Palpatine or Mon Mothma? By all means and watch as Star Wars history is undone. Its a crime something like this hasn't been created. I'd even settle for a total conversion at this point.
As if the developers and publisher are going to throw away all their years of hard work because a faceless Steam user wants something different.
"Back to the drawing board guys, Ulfar isn't going to play this one." :) Classic.
Hence the low price point. Hopefully this will sell well and they'll invest in a more in-depth game.
Yeah, I'd play that.
Sounds like this aint the game for you then.
In terms of games, the pirating/smuggling/crime theme hasn't been explored much. There's totally enough space for a separate game in that direction.

I was looking forward to the canceled 1313 game as well, because it was a Star Wars game about crime and underworld, and most importantly not about Jedi vs Sith.
Oh well x2
I would take a look at X4: Foundations.
At the current moment, the guy who made the Star-Wars Vehicles in X3 (or was it 2), is moving his vehicles over to X4.

Doesn't include Ground-Simulation, but if you want Space, it may not be officially Star-Wars. However, it is as close as you might get.
Seeing as EA want games that are easy and fast to produce, not something that may take a good long while to build and take a huge chunk of money in the process. (They are all about the Profit and are a Company after all).
