Does this still support the friend pass?

I know on Origin there's a friend pass version of the game that you can get for free to play online with people who own the game. Does this version support that too, or is it only meant for Remote Play Together?

Steam really dropped the ball on that one if Friend pass doesn't work.
Nobody wants to use the Remote Play Together instead of that.

It appears that the Steam version signs in to Origin for your friends list so your buddy should be able to download the "trial" on Origin (which is the buddy pass) and you should be able to join up together via the Origin friends list.

It does support Friend Pass, since steam version also requires Origin to load the game. Ask your friend to just download Origin and get the trial version of the game from there, and you're good to go.

Does anyone know how to invite friends thru the "play online" option? both of us have the origin version, but we can't invite each other, the name doesn't appear in the friend list on the box. Does anyone know how to invite a friend to play this game?

it does. but your friend just need to download A Way Out friend's pass in EA store

Having a similar issue! I can'play with my friend on EA because inviting him doesnt work. His name appears in the invite friends list, but nothing happens when I send it.

Yeah we had this exact same thing. Then we just stopped trying and tried again 2 weeks later without really changing anything and it worked. So maybe try to restart your computers if you haven't yet after installing the game
