VOLUME AND SOUND TOO LOW
Dear freinds of the community and developers,
The sound in this game is ridicolously low (everything on my PC: voices in dialogues, music and fighting sounds).
Players, do you have the same issue?

This game really needs a PATCH TO FIX THIS SOUND VOLUME. Is not fun at all to play a game with almost no sounds

Yes, that is an issue.

What i did to solve this is set the ingame SFX and music to 40%. Then crank up the speaker volume. This implies lowering everything else in the volume mixer.

Thank you for your answer, but I tried and it didn't work. What do you mena exactly?

The game has audio options where you can set the volume of the SFX, the music and the voice.

I mean to lower the SFX and the music while leaving the voices at 100%

Relatively, the voices will be loud enough to be heard. You just turn up the volume on your sound device to get voices loud enough.

Actually on my PC, even if I set everything on maximum volume, musics, sounds effect, voices, everything is too low. I really don't know how to fix it. I think the developers should make a patch. Is it really possible that I'm the only one who had this issues?

Yeah, the sound volume is pathetically low in this game. I have to use my headphones to actually hear what's going on.

I totally agree and is not acceptable.
THE DEVELOPERS CANNOT IGNORE THIS ISSUE. THEY MUST ADDRESS IT AND MAKE A DAMNED PATCH. IT WON'T BE DIFFICULT if they wouldn't just ignore us

I know, this is an old thread, but I have found the solution for pc gamers? I always put my volume 100% and yet I can't hear the voices that much.

But now, they're loud that I put down my volume to 50% or less. Here's what I did just in case if you haven't done it yet... Hopefully it works for you because it totally did for me (mind you, I'm Dutch and translating this)

1) I went to configuration screen.
2) Go to "realtek HD Audio configuration"
3) look at the tab "speakers"
4) click on the tab "soundseffect"
5) tap on the "equalisation volume". It must be ON

That's all.

Extra;
6) go to "Audiowizard"
7) click on "launch"
8) and choose whatever you like. Gaming Mode or Movie Mode. I chose Movie Mode because the music sounds stonger

Really happy to se I'm no the only one that has to turn up his speakers just to hear what is going on in this game.

More than likely it is a sound drive/config issue. Try using Software config verse hardware. If that doesn't work i would suggest sending a ticket to support with your DX_diag.

SOLVED!!!! - At least on PC anyway. goto your Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age Inquisition\Save and open your, ProfileOptions_profile with Notepad. Then alter GstAudio.MusicVolume to above 1.00000 to something like 2.00000. This will boost the music output to DOUBLE what it was. you can also do the same for GstAudio.DialogueVolume for voices. Save it and your done. Word of warning. If you alter your sound settings after this in-game, it'll change back to default upon game exit, also dont try this will game is running. It'll reset upon exit. As long as you don't touch audio settings again, this is a permanent solution.

Now its better. Thank you.
This game is retarded when it comes to sound. I did a sound test while the game was running, and the speakers were all over the place. Left speaker used center, right speaker used one of the back speakers. etc.

For me it helped to turn off application exclusive control in windows.
That turned everything back to the normal settings I use in windows. Sound test went fine after that.

They just completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up all sound channels, and came up with some BS excuse because they can't figure out how to fix it and let the app use the proper channels.
