More expensive on Steam
So why is the normal price of the GOTY edition R299 on the Origin client in South Africa but on Steam its R699?

Why on earth would I pay R400 more (which is about the price of four new indies (the good ones) or a good new $30 dollar game), in my currency?

In fact if I just add another R400 I can almost afford another full priced NEW $60 dollar game.

So I must pay more to have it on Steam? For a game that came out in 2014. Is this a joke?

Who actually bothers to check that these prices match up to the Origin client. This makes no sense unless you actively penalising clients who want to own these titles on Steam instead of Origin.

And this goes for all the games you have listed on Steam. They are 50% more expensive on Steam than they are on the Origin client.

It's not a Deluxe edition, it's a Game of The Year edition with all DLC's. But yes you're right, it's not cheap for 2014 game anyway.

EA has terrible regional pricing on Steam. Not on Origin.
Reason is simple, they want you to buy their games on their client so the regional prices are better there.
Its EA.

Well then I am not interested. Especially for old games. I will wait for 90% discounts. I would rather spend that money on newer games. Not old games from 2014.

This game is epic and loaded to the hilt with content. Way worth the asking price.

I am not paying 50% more just to have it on Steam. Besides its so old now who the hell cares about it. I heard from most people that played it that it was not that great anyway, that is played like a poor mans MMO in single player game.

Yeah, you can easily get Deus Ex: Human Revolution for a couple of bucks on Steam without any third party launcher, but this thing still costs so much. The same goes for all the other Bioware titles EA owns. Maybe ME1 and DAO excluded.

20 dollars for the base game and all DLC is not a terrible price at all, stop crying.

This game which came out in 2014 costs about 33€ for me on Steam. Now compare that to other AAA games.

located in the us... cost me 21.59 usd with my states sale tax... cheaper than origins price for the dlc alone....

origin charges 30 dollars for the dlc upgrade . was waiting for the goty edition to go on sale on origin again b4 i picked it up but it came on sale here first lol.... 20 dollars to not only get all the dlcs but to be able to link my origin account and have all my origin games here as well? well worth it

To bad you don't get any of your Origin games on Steam for free if you link your accounts. Have to buy all your games over again if you want them on Steam. Have fun with that.

The only "advantage" to buying it on Steam is you get it in your Steam library and some cards otherwise (again) it's the same game and executable that runs on Origin. This is not Dead Space 2 which if you run the Steam version does not run on Origin.
