What's with the stupid slippers?
Somehow at Mt Komorabi I ended up with slippers. I set allow shoes in house but all my outfits now have slippers and I can not get rid of them.

I think your right James. I've got lots of hours on this game and never ran into a problem until I visited Mt. Komorabi doing the Extreme Sport Aspiration. I didn't even know the mechanic existed, It seems for me, once it triggered by renting a vacation home there it could not be set back to normal no matter what setting I tried to use.

I went back to a save before visiting Mt. Komobari and everything is working fine. Going to avoid that place.

You could also try to visit Mt. Komorabi, but not actually have your sims live there or rent there because I do not think that the bug is triggered if you visit the world without renting there or living there. Also, community lots at Mt. Komorabi (such as parks, bars, and etc...) if I am not mistaken (but I could be wrong) do not have a no shoes only or slippers only requirement. So they should not trigger this specific bug either at Mt. Komorabi.

While it does make the gameplay a little less realistic to visit there without renting the game does not force you to rent if wanting to visit Mt. Komorabi. Also, for my personal gameplays if I decide to have my sims not wear shoes indoors the bug is not triggered at least in other worlds outside of Mt. Komorabi where they do not normally wear slippers when outside. They will sometimes disobey the rule to not wear shoes indoors, but that is a normal part of gameplay.

you set it to "wear slippers indoors" try seting it to "remove shoes indoors"
Just select remove shoes indoors. Also, I do not have this bug at least in other worlds outside of Mt Komorabi, but if you select "slippers" your sims will want to wear slippers instead of wearing shoes or without shoes indoors. The option to remove shoes indoors and if I am not mistaken also the slippers option is now basegame and does not require Snowy Escape anymore.

I may have accidentally done that at first but I have since set it to "Allow shoes Indoors". I will give that remove shoes a try.

Thanks for the reply. I will give that a try.
No matter what I do I end up with either slippers indoors and slippers outdoors or bare feet indoors and slippers outdoors. I have only one outfit, default daily, that will use shoes outdoors all the rest use slippers. No command to remove slippers or put on shoes, they create a mechanic you cannot control. Pure crap. Hope the competitor (Inzoi ?) gets more content in their game because I can't wait to dump this .

Like I said earlier I do not have this problem in other worlds outside of Mt Komorabi. Maybe this bug is only tied to Mt. Komorabi and not with other worlds. The Sims 4 has a very long history of bugs.

Good point. I may not avoid it afterall. Thanks for pointing that out. Enjoy the award you deserve it.
