I may have accidentally done that at first but I have since set it to "Allow shoes Indoors". I will give that remove shoes a try.
Like I said earlier I do not have this problem in other worlds outside of Mt Komorabi. Maybe this bug is only tied to Mt. Komorabi and not with other worlds. The Sims 4 has a very long history of bugs.
I think your right James. I've got lots of hours on this game and never ran into a problem until I visited Mt. Komorabi doing the Extreme Sport Aspiration. I didn't even know the mechanic existed, It seems for me, once it triggered by renting a vacation home there it could not be set back to normal no matter what setting I tried to use.
I went back to a save before visiting Mt. Komobari and everything is working fine. Going to avoid that place.
You could also try to visit Mt. Komorabi, but not actually have your sims live there or rent there because I do not think that the bug is triggered if you visit the world without renting there or living there. Also, community lots at Mt. Komorabi (such as parks, bars, and etc...) if I am not mistaken (but I could be wrong) do not have a no shoes only or slippers only requirement. So they should not trigger this specific bug either at Mt. Komorabi.
While it does make the gameplay a little less realistic to visit there without renting the game does not force you to rent if wanting to visit Mt. Komorabi. Also, for my personal gameplays if I decide to have my sims not wear shoes indoors the bug is not triggered at least in other worlds outside of Mt. Komorabi where they do not normally wear slippers when outside. They will sometimes disobey the rule to not wear shoes indoors, but that is a normal part of gameplay.
Good point. I may not avoid it afterall. Thanks for pointing that out. Enjoy the award you deserve it.
