What do you guys do?
As a male I'm not really into just having a digital tea party so wondering what do you guys do in this game and why do you enjoy it?

I have this on origin, tried it last year and just couldn't get into it. I mean there is nothing happening, I'd love to see more dark drama such as people going missing, murders, crime, horrific poltergeist etc. There's so much they could do to make everyone's experience different and exciting

This game is not for you if you are looking for... "I'd love to see more dark drama such as people going missing, murders, crime, horrific poltergeist etc."

I know, I feel that way, games like surviving mars and surviving the aftermath sort of scratch the itch as they add purpose and excitement however they just lack that level of depth you get with each individual sim with this game

There are mods for this type of play. Sacrificial has mods for such things and i can't link it so you'll have to look it up on your search engine. just type "ts4 sacrificialmods" it should be the first one on the list.

I personally cant bring myself to go as off the rails as this, but yeah with mods you can go pretty far, this example of restaurant gameplay can be done without mods.

If you are looking for some crazy things though, watch through some of these Jim Pickens videos, many things that are done require mods though, like those made by Sacrificial mentioned above.

I think an important thing to understand with Sims 4 is you arent a player playing the game, you are a director directing the game. There is a ton of strange storylines you can play out without mods. But adding in certain mods does help you complete scenes or stories way better. If you just sit by and let the Sims guide you, then you will likely never leave your home lot. The game doesnt tell you to do much of anything. It is on you to make the funny or compelling gameplay.

It's a virtual doll house for me... I enjoy building houses in it. The Sims themselves for me are nothing more than to use to be sure that the house works properly within the constraints of the game.

There are a lot of Fun Mods out there, the base game is pretty bland, practically just a family sim if you have no DLC at all. For sure going to need some mods.

How about vampires dlc, does it spice things up? I'd just like a more exciting neighborhood where people rob each other, get jealous and assault, being haunted by ghosts or vampires roaming the streets at night

I mean it can be entertaining not worth the price in my OP, the best mod for that I've found was the violence mod.. also has gangs etc. but maybe if your not looking for something as crazy then yea that could be a simple alternative tbh it doesn't really provide anything unique other than some negative moods and simple stuff like that. Mods are the way to go.

More excitement. I've heard alot of people recommend the sims 3 due to the Open world and apparently there is more drama and events going on with npc sims?

I think I played some mod where i could murder sims but I was just looking the ability for other sims to do it to each other to spice drama and criminal activity up in the neighborhood

I see the sims as a sandbox where you can make your own fun. Mod the game as you want. You can make sims you know and express you fantasy. It's mostly a single player game so you can't really hurt anyone, just don't screw with real people. I really don't screw with my sims but everyone has there own goals and thoughts and play the game as they want. If I could not mod the game I would probably not play it.

The first person view is nice, you could sit and watch a sunset during a date, I'm really glad they added it.
