Origin won't work?

Origin won't load and have the following text on the screen:

Which is strange because yesterday it worked fine?

downdetector is showing that origin is down right now, figures it happens as soon as I buy the game

I had that Yesterday.
I ended Steam and then restartet my Computer. Startet Steam again. After wards Origin opend again, but it took long. Today is all normal.

I heard it's because they are moving everything over to their EA app. I downloaded that, signed in through steam, and it appears they haven't added Sims 4 to it yet. It does state that the game should still run on Origin.. yet..? Idk I keep getting the error.

Same here, restarting and verifying worked! Hope it works for everyone else in the thread

I would recommend against downloading the new EA App on Beta from Origin. Especially with the numerous complaints here. I could also chose to ignore that. Maybe I will not get the same error if avoid the new EA App entirely. I do not trust it. While I did not get an error why should I get the new App if it is completely optional as well?
