The Sims™ 4

VCRUNTIME140.dll and MSVCP140.dll error
Every time I launch the game it says OriginThinSetup.exe - system error VCRUNTIME140.dll and MSVCP140.dll was not found. I have tried doing some research on how to fix the problem, but most videos and fixes revolve around the Origin launcher and not on steam... as well as Steam support doesnt have help support for games from other launchers... like why even have a broken game you're not gonna help with on your website for 40 dollars plus a bunch of other DLC if its possible to just be broken. Wasn't that why you stopped selling rocket league? why not just forfeit it over to Origin and save people like me the hassle of having to get a zip downloader going into files and fixing it myself. Could really use help on this one next time I'll be more careful about buying my big brand games.

I already tried re downloading so I am not doing that again 10 hours of waiting twice is enough.
Do you have a Origin account? You need one to play Sims 4 on Steam.

Do you have to download the Origin Launcher as well even though you got it off steam? edit: I just downloaded the origin launcher and it gives the same error as the one that popped up when I launch sims 4 from steam, it pretty much wont let me launch the sims 4 because it cant install origin because of the errors.

You need to set up (register) an Origin account on the bottom left.

Final update I solved it through other forums not steam. I did not need a Origin account. I had to
A. open Settings in my computer I use windows
B. Go to Apps and Features and scroll down until you find your Visual C++ 2010/2013/2015-19 Redistributable files
C. Select each of the files and check if you can Modify/Edit do that and select repair for each of them.
If this is your problem after you repair these files it should prompt you to reset your pc. After I reset my PC origin finally launched.
