GTA IV how to get keys to work

first do the following

1. Go to Xbox. com and sign in with your Windows Live ID

2. Go to My Account

3. Click Redeem Code

4. Enter the code that Steam provided for GTA IV

5. Once that is successful, launch Games for Windows Live application and go to downloads

6. Select GTA IV and choose to view the key from Games For Windows

7. Enter that key in GTA IV on steam

Make sure that you are just viewing the key. the key you get from steam is only to get the key from Games For Windows Marketplace. Once you get the key from Games For Windows Marketplace you enter that key in after you sign into steam and you sign into that drop down screen for windows live. Once you sign into windows live in that drop down screen put the key code you got from Games For Windows Marketplace into the key area where you are getting the error. They are two different keys. I hope this makes sence took me for ever to figure out.

But steam don't give me any key, it's just say that keys servers are overruned or something like that.

Once you get the key from steam use that one to redem your key at xbox live. once you redeem the key from xbox live and download GFWM you will get a secound key that you use to play the game on steam. after you get your key from steam follow the directions above and shouldnt have any problems. it took me 3 days to get my key from steam.

xbox live says there is a problem with my key, which steam provided me after buying the game. What the hell.

I did everything untill i get into Downloads from Windows Marketplace ! when i get in downloads nothing come up ! What am i supposed to do ? please help. Appreciate it !

check you key code from steam and make sure it is correct. I had the same problem with xbox live and was puttig the wrong code in putting G when they were 6's. pcn.angelo after you redeem with xbox live and download GFWM sign into GFWM and you should see on the left side below the game a drop down or something that says view game keys. I'm not sure if you have to download the game to GFWM or what I did . You should see view game keys if you select that you should get your new game key. Make sure you sign into GFWM with you windows live ID.

Create a new account in the United States region, that usually fixes the problem. Of course, it also depends on what kind of error is xbox live giving you for your code.

It did not help. Error: "Please enter a valid code". Creating new US region account didn't help too.
