Streets and Buildings NOT showing up?

I keep playing the game, and every time I play you can't see the streets or the buildings which makes it impossible to play. I bought it off of steam. It took me 4 days to download it and I am hoping I do not have to redownload it. But please respond with something to do about this. Thanks.

I have the same problem, still no answer. :/ I bought the game last November, still haven't been able to play it...

In the launch options type this:

-norestrictions -nomemrestrict

Then set the graphics optimal for your computer. If it took you that long to download it (unless you were downloading multiple things), I suggest installing xliveless. It removes Games for Windows from GTA IV. The only downside is that you cannot play multiplayer.
