stuck on jimmy pegorino mission

been trying to complete the mission where you kill jimmy pegorino (or i think you kill him). The part where niko jumps on the heli by lifting off the ridge using the dirt bike...when hes hanging on the heli i keep getting the message press space to climb but when i do press space, it keeps switching cameras for some odd reason...ive checked my key bindings and space is not used for switching cameras...any fix for this bug?

It's a frame rate issue. You need to be running at or below 30 frames per second (FPS) when you get to that portion of the mission. There are a variety of ways to do that, but one of the easiest (and failsafe) methods is to run FRAPS with video recording turned on at that portion of the mission. (FRAPS records video at 30 FPS in its default recording settings.)

The problem is that modern machines often run too fast to pass that portion of the mission, so you have to slow the frame rate down to 30 FPS to complete it. Using FRAPS in video recording mode will lock the frame rate to 30 FPS and will allow you to complete the mission.
